Nursery for six groups
The day-care center is built within a gorgeous group of old trees, sheltered from the adjacent residential development in the middle of the park. The building is designed as a single-storey building, so that children of all ages as well as nursing staff can move easily and without any threshold throughout the entire premises.

The building consists of "5 small houses. They are arranged next to each other in an interplay with the trees so that the beautiful park can be experienced in a perceptible way. Due to the proportioning of the houses child-friendly spatial volume is generated and facades are structured by the resulting courtyard situations. The groups were arranged as units of 2 in "one house" with utility rooms as well as toilet and checkroom areas.
Each group has its very own outdoor space in front. This is where children can play safely and protected under the supervisors‘ eyes. The wardrobes serve as sluices into the open-air area. An inner path winds through the building similar to the pathways in the park.

Niches and widenings encourage to play and allow interesting outdoor views through its openings towards the park. Starting in the foyer, it provides access to the administration area and the 3-group-modules leading to the outdoor area at the rear of the building.
Glued, solid wooden panels form the spatially effective supporting framework. Cellulose insulation surrounds the structure and, in this combination, provides excellent thermal insulation in summer. Horizontal wooden slats form the outer shell.
